This is a safe place to ask me anything you want about ALL THAT HE WANTS (Volume 2) – and you can let ‘er rip with spoilers. I’ll answer individual comments as best I can, and I’ll address the best comments in the body of the blog post.
If you have not read ALL THAT HE WANTS (Volume 2 of the Billionaire’s Seduction) – if you have only read up to All That He Requires (Part 4) where Connor and Lily first meet Miranda and the Templetons – then, for the love of God, LEAVE THIS PAGE NOW, because you will ruin all of Volume 2 for yourself.
Seriously. If you haven’t read Volume 2, go now! Quickly! Before you See things you cannot Unsee!
Okay, you’ve been warned…
Here’s something I wrote to a reader in an email:
Yeah… I know some people didn’t like having Volume 2 not being all wrapped up… but part of it was, I wanted to leave myself something to work with if I ever do another book. I ended it where I did because, for me, the whole thing about the entire series was, “Will Connor commit?” And when he did, everything else was kind of anticlimactic.
And I figure Miranda is such a potentially good villain that I didn’t want to waste her with an “Oh, yeah, she made a stupid mistake and got caught.” (First rule of BATMAN: never, ever kill the Joker. He’s too good a villain to throw away.)
Originally, I just wrote that scene in Part 4 where Miranda comes in and holds Vincent’s hand – that was her first appearance. Then I thought, “That’s stupid, she should be more dangerous… what could she do that would be creepier?” So I wrote in the scene where she stalked Lily. At that point, I hadn’t even come up with the blackmail plot. And from there, Miranda just kind of took on a life of her own. I don’t even feel like I’ve scratched the surface on her character yet. She’s a true sociopath, someone with no empathy, who enjoys toying with and destroying other people for the fun of it. Well… that, and for money.
So yes, if I do the next book, I’m going to have to come up with some sort of epic cat-and-mouse chess game, with her versus Connor and Lily. Which kind of scares me, because I have no idea what that’s going to be like.
But there will be a wedding in that one, I promise. If I do it. 🙂
